Best Buffalo Bills of All-Time
The Buffalo Bills has seen a number of great players over the years. These players have gone on to make it to the hall of fame and helped lead the team to success. Some of the great players to ever play the game of football were part of the Buffalo Bills.
Dubension played with the Bills from 1960 to 1968. In his position as wide receiver he was an original member of this franchise were the Bills were still a member of the AFL. During his career has has 294 catches, has 5,249 yard rushing, and has scored 35 touchdowns. Dubension was a three time all American and made the All Pro. He also made it to the Pro Bowl in 1964. In this game had had 42 completed passes, ran for 1,139 years, and scored 10 touchdowns in the game.
G Billy Shaw
Shaw was drafted in 1961 by the Cowboys and the Bills. He chose to go with the Bills and he made a good choice. While he was a pulling guard he was able to help block linebackers as well as the defensive backs due to his large size. He stayed with the Bills for nine seasons. During this time he had 119 career starts in the game. He was named as an All AFL star eight times and go to play in each of the All Star Games. He is the only player to this day in the Pro Football Hall of Name to have never played a game in the National Football League during his career.
This linebacker was with the Bills from 1983 all the way to 1984. He was part of the Bill team that made it to the Super Bowl from 1990 to 1993. He was drafted in the second round in 1983 and played a total of 12 seasons with this team. During his career with the Bills Talley had 1,252 tackles, 38 sacks, 12 interceptions, and forced a fumble on 17 different occasions. Talley made it to the Pro Bowl twice and made it to the All Pro twice as well.
Gilchrist was a running back with the Bills from 1962 to 1964. All though he was only with the team for three seasons he impacted the way that they played. During his career with the Bills Gilchrist had 3,056 yards rushing, a total of 676 carries, and was able to score 31 touchdowns. He is only second to OJ Simpson in the franchise history for the average number of yards carried per game. He was the first team member that made the Al Pro game three times and was able to play in four Pro Bowl game.
Benner was with the Bills from 1987 to 1995. He was drafted by the Colts but was than traded to the Bills. As a member of this team he started in 128 games as a linebacker. In this position he had 793 tackles, 52 sacks, and 6 interceptions. He forced players to fumble 22 times and recover 19 fumbles himself. Bennet made it to the Pro Bowl five times and three times to the All Pro game. He was even named AP Defensive Player of the Year.
